Fire station Visit – Woodstock
The visit to the Fire station is an Annual arrangement as we have changes in the boys at our centre. On Saturday, the boys were welcomed by the Woodstock Fire Station officers . The children were advised on what to do when they encounter a fire, extinguishing a fire using water or fire extinguisher – keeping fit because you need to climb and run and sometimes carry a child or older person out of a burning area. They also spoke about protective gear and how checking the equipment and following the rules …….saves lives. Children will be attending an International fire Fighters day on the 4th May at the Athlone Stadium.
