Vrolike Groepe – End of year outing
Excited children all lined up ready to go
This was the first outing for the year for our kids at the pre grade R class – an outing as a class. We respect that some parents did not want their children to go – unfortunately for their sad faces. But the rest of the children had a ball of a time. We started off with some play time at the N1 Spur play ground under the watchful eye of teacher Natasha and Sharon who assisted Natasha for the day.
They enjoyed their meals and dashed back to the games. We took them to Wonderland for a few games and then the big surprise – Christmas presents! The children each received a book hamper from the Pinelands Church group and then they each received a toy donated by The Sanibome Children’s Trust. Their representative, Maryka Vermaak joined the kids and saw the excitement of the little ones. In order to adhere to the covid restrictions and social distance policy, the children were split in two groups.
We are very grateful to these donors who put a smile on the children faces – and for the dedication of Teacher Natasha throughout the year. The Weideman Family donation covered the costs of the meal and outing for the children.
